Looking ahead to 2026: key events and open calls
As the year comes to a close, the Association of European Schools of Planning would like to extend its warmest wishes to all our members, partners and colleagues.

Upcoming AESOP Events in 2026
20th AESOP Heads of Schools Meeting
📍 Ås, Norway | 📅 11–14 March 2026
Hosted by the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU), the Heads of Schools Meeting will bring together leaders of planning schools to discuss the future of planning education under the theme “Planning Resilient Communities in Uncertain Times: Navigating Climate Change and New Technologies.”
World Planning Schools Congress (WPSC) 2026
The next edition of the WPSC will convene planning schools and institutions from around the world, offering a global platform for exchange on planning education, research and practice.
AESOP PhD Workshop 2026
A key annual event for early-career researchers, the PhD Workshop will provide an international forum for doctoral candidates to present their work, receive feedback and connect with peers and senior scholars.
