The main aims of the Global South & East are:

• To embrace all positionalities and to open up radically new dialogues and relationships;
• To consider the South as above all a genealogical relation - the history of North/South (post-) colonial relations - and a set of ontologies and epistemologies (post-/de-colonial, subaltern, southern...) that, by expanding the geographies of theorisation, have above all made social sciences (and planning), in a word, better;
• To exchange our descriptive views and normative positions about planning with regard to Global south and Global East;
• To learn about planning practices from the South-Eastern context;
• To be actively involved in preparing research policy and practice documents through collaboration.
