The aim of this one-day workshop is how various types of Big Data can be used in a creative way to tackle key issues in today's regional policy like smart specialisation, the creation of small businesses,  social inclusion of vulnerable population, the impact of migrants and refugees, ....  Especially knowing that we lack of timely available and detail  data on spatial scale for these issues.

Target audience: Researchers and PhD students with an interest in Big data, Cities and Region Representatives, EU officials.

Venue : CORE-UCL Voie du Roman Pays, 34  1348 Louvain-la-Neuve

We are also pleased to advise you that the day before our workshop will also take place the BruNet Workshop  (21 November) at CORE which may also be of interest to you. The above registration form will enable you to register to both events if you wish too.

I look forward to meeting you in Louvain-la-Neuve, and exchanging on this crucial issue!

Best regards
