The Department of Geography and Planning at the University of Liverpool is recruiting a Lecturer in Planning to join a dynamic international team of planning educators and scholars.
Applicants should demonstrate an ability to contribute to core planning teaching and research in the Planning, Environmental Assessment and Management Research Group. Applicants should have a research profile that engages with themes within planning and has clear relevance to and impact on planning policy and practice. The postholder will have an ability to transfer their original research into planning policy and practice related teaching at multiple scales from the neighbourhood to the international and have a keen interest in developing interdisciplinary/cross-disciplinary links in research and teaching. An awareness of the professionally orientated nature of the planning discipline is essential and knowledge and/or experience of the requirements, or membership, of a planning profession relevant body would be an advantage. We particularly welcome applications from scholars who identify with groups who continue to be underrepresented and who face barriers to inclusion in higher education and/or who are from Majority World or any related diaspora.
