On behalf of the AESOP Executive Committee and the entire Association, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Local Organising Committee of the World Planning Schools Congress 2026 for the outstanding work carried out in hosting this exceptional event.
The Congress represented an important opportunity for planning scholars, practitioners and students from across the world to meet, exchange ideas and strengthen international cooperation. Throughout the week, the Local Organising Committee demonstrated remarkable professionalism, commitment and attention to detail, ensuring that every aspect of the Congress was organised to the highest standards.
In addition to delivering an excellent Congress, the Local Organising Committee hosted the full programme of AESOP governance and community activities, including meetings of the Executive Committee, the General Assembly, the Council of Representatives, the Young Academics network and several other official events. Bringing together such a wide range of activities requires considerable effort, coordination and dedication, and we are deeply grateful for the warm hospitality and seamless organisation provided throughout the week.
The success of WPSC2026 is the result of the hard work, enthusiasm and commitment of the entire organising team, supported by numerous staff members, volunteers and partners who contributed behind the scenes. Thanks to their efforts, participants enjoyed not only a rich scientific programme but also a welcoming environment that fostered dialogue, collaboration and the spirit of the international planning community.
The positive feedback received from delegates confirms the success of the Congress and reflects the exceptional quality of its organisation.
On behalf of AESOP, we extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in making WPSC2026 such a memorable and successful event. We are proud to have been part of this remarkable week and look forward to continuing our collaboration in the years ahead.
