I have a complicated relationship with S.T.A.L.K.E.R. I was never a fan of the series because I vividly remember the buggy and clunky original version at launch. Mods like Anomaly, Dead Air, and NLC passed me by as well since I never really got into them. In fact, I hadn’t thought about this game for the past 10 years.

But something made me pre-order the ultimate edition—an inexplicable feeling of magic. Perhaps younger players didn’t experience it or never cared, but for many of us, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is a game that was never supposed to see the light of day. And I’m not just talking about its current state with constant delays. I’m referring to the legends surrounding S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 in those distant years—it was the equivalent of Half-Life 3.

And now, here we are, finally on the verge of the release of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, and it fills me with a sense of awe. This game promises to take us back to the Zone with its unique atmosphere, deep storytelling, and stunning visuals. GSC Game World has confirmed that they’ve crafted a truly unique experience, complete with a new storyline, upgraded graphics, and an expanded open world.

So, despite all my past skepticism, I’m eagerly awaiting November 20th to once again immerse myself in this mysterious and perilous Zone. It’s going to be epic.
