Call for participation at the Workshop of the AESOP Thematic Group New Technologies and Planning.

The workshop will be held at the University of Aveiro on Monday 6 (am + pm) and Tuesday 7 (am), March 2023.

We would like to invite all Colleagues interested in the Thematic Group New Technologies and Planning activities to attend the meeting.

The attendance is free of charge, but participants will take care of their travel expenses.

The title of the workshop is “New Technologies and Planning at AESOP: state of play and further advances”.

Scope of the workshop, following the TG NTP meeting in Tartu last summer, is to foster the knowledge exchange among interested members, and to plan future collaborative activities within the Thematic group.

The agenda (tentative) of the meeting will focus on:

  • Monday 6 (am): presentations of the research group/Lab/Schools working on the TG NTP subject domains (5-10 minutes depending on the number of participants)
  • Monday 6 (pm): a) Brainstorming session on new technologies role in adaptive planning (session abstract to be delivered to interested participants);
  • Tuesday 7 (am): Work-group for the preparation of a survey for the AESOP Schools on research and teaching on NTP.

The schedules would allow for an additional short session on any subject of interest attending participants may wish to suggest (in this case please contact the TG coordinators well in advance, i.e. at least 2 weeks before the meeting).

A link for remote participation will be provided for those of you who cannot attend in presence. Still we strongly recommend all of you to attend in person, as we see this as a huge added value. The workshop attendance by interested AESOP young academics and early career researchers (i.e. PhD students), as well as their active participation in the activities of the TG NTP,  is very welcome.

Please register your interest in attending at the Aveiro TG NTP workshop as soon as possible (and in any case before 15 February 2023) using the form available at https://forms.gle/J3AfUtJhySaN8otR9
