Learnings and reflections from the updated overview on 15-minute City practices in Europe and beyond

30 April: 2:00 – 4:00 pm (CET)

The 15-minute City concept has set out to spread an ambitious vision for increasing opportunities, connections and quality of life in cities. While its attractive narrative has invoked wide-spread interest, it remains a fully operational logic or set policy mix for implementation. More information is needed to understand which form and shape the work with the concept can take on the ground.

Therefore, the 15-minute City Transition Pathway of the Driving Urban Transitions Partnership commissioned a mapping of city practice connected to the 15-minute City concept and related policy fields. We aim to build an informed perspective on the mosaic of international practical definitions, strategies, instruments, experience of implementation and needs for research and innovation. During the past 12 months, a team of experts from Technical University Munich, the University of Westminster, and the University of Porto realised this activity by collecting, describing and analysing examples of strategic anchoring local concepts for the City of Proximity.

This webinar is directed to a broad interested audience that wants to learn from and exchange on the practice of European cities for the mobility transition, specifically focusing on personal mobility, urban planning and public space, urban logistics and services, as well as innovative governance.
