The International Urban Planning and Environment Association (IUPEA), a global network of leading planning professionals and academics, has the mission to cultivate the international dialogue on questions of spatial and environmental planning and to contribute to the development of practice oriented solutions.
Jointly with IUPEA the University of Kaiserslautern will host the 8th International Symposium for Planning and Environment, prepared by the Department of Town Planning, (Prof. Dr.- Ing. G. Steinebach) and the International Research Training Group (IRTG), (Prof. Dr. Hans Hagen). Having met in Oxford (GB) 2002, Louisville (USA) 2004 und Bangkok (Thailand) 2007 this symposium will take place March 23rd- 26th 2009 on the campus of the University of Kaiserslautern, Germany.
