The PhD researcher will work on an individual project ‘Undisclosed power relations in local democracy: examining coalitions and implications for social justice’, leading to a doctoral dissertation (supervisors: Dr. Justin Beaumont, Prof. dr. G. de Roo, Prof. dr. P.H. Pellenbarg). During the initial stages, the successful candidate will be offered courses in relevant fields and research methods and taught in English. During the remaining period, the PhD student will work on the thesis. Work on the dissertation is carried out under close supervision of URSI fellows and the PhD student is encouraged to present papers at international conferences.
