Florida State University seeks a candidate for a one-year Visiting Assistant or Associate Professor position to begin August 2008 in the areas of housing, community development, and economic development. Ability to teach courses in growth management, land use, and GIS is also desirable. Applicants must hold (or be expected to receive prior to August 2008) a doctorate in urban and regional planning, or an equivalent degree in a related field, and must demonstrate potential for excellence in teaching. The applicant is expected to teach two courses during each of the Fall 2008 and Spring 2009 semesters while also conducting research aimed at solutions to problems in urban planning.
