Florida State University seeks candidates for two tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor positions to begin August 2009. Applicants must hold a doctorate in urban and regional planning, or an equivalent degree in a related field, and must demonstrate potential for excellence in teaching and research aimed at solutions to problems in urban planning.
Administratively housed within the College of Social Sciences, the Department includes 12 faculty and 120 graduate students and offers a PAB-accredited professional master's degree, a Ph.D., and an undergraduate minor. Founded in 1965, we have awarded almost 1,200 graduate degrees. The Department also includes the Florida Planning and Development Lab, an entity designed to provide planning services to communities in Florida, the southeastern U.S., and Latin America.
