European Postgraduate Masters in Urbanism (EMU)

Four leading European universities - UPC Barcelona, TU Delft, KU Leuven and Universitá IUAV di Venezia - have designed a joint European Postgraduate Master of Urbanism (EMU). EMU offers since 2006 a two-year full time postgraduate master programme (120 ECTS), consisting of three core semesters (30 ECTS/semester) and one final semester for a written or design thesis (30 ECTS). In each core semester the design studio is seen as the programmes backbone supported by three cutting edge courses focusing on theory, technology and methodology.
Course participants must fulfill a minimum of 60 ECTS at the hosting university and will follow at least one semester at one of the partner universities. This means that the students acquire valuable experiences in different cultural, disciplinary and physical landscapes.
