We are pleased to announce that the AESOP Council of Representatives has elected Maria Håkansson as the new AESOP President (2024 – 2026).
Maria is Associate Professor at KTH Architecture and the Built Environment, Sweden and has been a very active member of the AESOP Community for many years. Maria will join the AESOP Executive Committee as Vice President on 1 August 2023, she will then assume the role as President on 1 August 2024. The election was held at the AESOP Council of Representatives Meeting, on 23 March 2023.
AESOP would also like to thank Professor Maros Finka for his service and dedication to AESOP throughout his mandate as AESOP President 2020 – 2022 and as AESOP Vice President 2022 - 2023. He will continue in the AESOP Executive Committee as Vice President until 31 July 2023.
