Call for the position of AESOP President is now open!
According to Article 23 lit. c of the AESOP Charter the mandatory period of the President is two years. The election takes place one year before the beginning of the mandatory period. During this year, the elected President occupies the position of the Vice President. Having completed the mandatory period, the President moves to the position of the Vice President for a period of one year.
The mandatory period of the new President will start in August 2024 and will finish in August 2026.
From August 2023 to August 2024 and from August 2026 to August 2027 the elected President will be representing AESOP as the Vice President.
According to Article 22 lit. b of the AESOP Charter, only an academic from an AESOP Full Member school may be elected as President.
According to Article 23 lit. j of the AESOP Charter. at the end of the mandatory period of office, the President is not eligible for re-election.
The election will take place during the AESOP Council of Representatives Meeting on 23 March, 2023. The Council asks candidates to present their respective applications during the meeting.
