According to Article 30b) of the AESOP Charter, you are now presented with the new version
of the Charter. It will be subject to consideration at the nearest Council of Representatives meeting, which will take place in Oslo on 5th May 2012.
Last year, a discussion began on how the Charter could be improved and what changes could be made in order for the Charter to be updated and more suitable to the current needs of the organisation. For nearly a year, a number of people have been voicing their concerns, ideas and conclusions, contributing mightily to the new version, which has finally seen the light of day.
The document you are now able to upload has been subject to dozens of minor and major changes and tweaks. It is definitely the most carefully drafted document the organisation has at the moment and it is the version recommended for acceptance by the Executive Committee.
The electronic version of the Charter is available for download here.
