We are proposing a "meet-the-author" special session for the launch of a new book, "Co-Designing Publics". The book is a result of an international research network grant awarded by the UK Arts and Humanities Research Council. The research network includes 6 different universities and 6 different grassroots organization from around the world, and involves a series of interactive and international investigative workshops and symposium. The chapters included a theoretical overview of what exactly "co-designing publics" entails, and separate case studies that investigate different ways in which "co-designing publics" is interpreted and pursued in Bengaluru, Cali, Cape Town, Jakarta, Phnom Penh, and Sao Paulo. This"meet-the-author" special session will enable dialogue with the audience using the book as a launching pad for further investigation and future research.
