APPLICATION GUIDELINES for AESOP 2026 PhD WORKSHOP

To apply for the AESOP YA PhD Workshop 2026, please submit the following:

(1) PhD thesis abstract (max. 500 words incl. bibliography), indicating your PhD (working) title and abstract of your thesis topic.

(2) Short CV (PDF format, max. 1 page), providing information on your current affiliation, background and skills (e.g., teaching experience or similar).

(3) Motivation letter (max. 500 words), outlining why you wish to participate and how you think the workshop and its theme will contribute to your doctoral research. The letter should address the following questions:
- At what stage of your PhD are you?
- What needs or struggles are you currently facing?
- What are your expectations for the workshop and what do you hope to get out of it?
- How does your dissertation topic relate to this years’ workshop theme?
