We sadly announce that our esteemed colleague, Professor Dr. Willy A. Schmid, has just passed away.

For more than 30 years he has been the director of the Institute for Spatial and Landscape Planning (Raum- und Landschaftsentwicklung), at the Network City and Landscape (Netzwerk Stadt und Landschaft) - ETH Zürich.
